I arrived home Tuesday afternoon.
I have THE worst jet lag ever. Tonight I'm going to take some Dramamine and NyQuil praying and hoping that they do the trick.
I haven't done a Five for Friday in a while. My last few weeks in Korea were pretty hectic, and I was doing good just to keep my head above water.
Go on over to Doodle Bugs and check out what everyone has been up to!
Let's get it started in here!
I had a little going away party, and I was so grateful that all my friends showed up. One friend even came from out of town to say good-bye. I already miss them. There's something about living in a foreign country and having friends there. Everyone else is going through the same thing and knows how you feel. I miss that.
I arrived home Tuesday afternoon, and my jet lag has been absolutely AWFUL. Simply awful.
I would really like to do this.
Or this.
I am a walking zombie at some points during the day and then have trouble going to sleep at night. And then I wake up early. It's awful. I've even tried Melatonin. Last night I took two Dramamine and NyQuil. That helped me sleep 6 good hours.
All of you have started back to school. I have loved seeing pictures of your classrooms and hearing all your back to school stories.
However, I can't join in since I don't have a job yet. Hopefully soon.
I have my very first interview this morning. Woo-hoo! I know God has a plan, but I sure wish he would let me in on it!
A couple of observations since I came back...
I still put my hand on my arm when giving someone money (it's a Korean custom).
I get cold way too often now (not used to all this AC).
Driving a car is a little weird (I have a little rental car).
I don't know any of the songs on the radio.
And last but not least....I don't feel like I quite belong yet. It is a very weird feeling. It's all part of reverse culture shock I've heard.
I got to come home to these two cuties. At first, they were looking at me like, "Is that really you, Mommy?" I sure did miss them.
This is Missy.
And this is Kobe, my sweet 3-legged baby.
I did have another dog, but sadly she had to be put to sleep while I was gone.
Hope you've had a great week!
What an adorable blog! I found you via the Five for Friday Linky. It sounds like you have had some amazing experiences traveling the world! Welcome back to the U.S. I hope that your interview was a great success!

Oh my goodness your dogs are adorable! Welcome to home! Remember God is in control and wants nothing but the best for you!
ReplyDeleteWelcome home! Fingers crossed for some good news on the job front! I was only in Italy for 12 days this summer and it took me a good week to break my jet lag- here's to hoping you get back onto a normal schedule sooner rather than later! :)
